Our Story

From Dublin
to Asturian hills

Chapter 1 · 2022 · Dublin

The city that stopped making sense

After years working in Dublin — long commutes, rising rents, weekends that disappeared before they started — we began asking a different kind of question. Not "where can we afford?" but "how do we actually want to live?"

The answer kept coming back to something simpler. More outside. More connected to where food comes from. Less screen, more soil.

Chapter 2 · 2023 · Asturias

Two bags, one half-formed plan

We found the farm in spring. Overgrown, steep, and perfect. We signed the papers in a language we were still learning, moved in with two suitcases, and started from zero.

The neighbours were patient. The land was not.

Chapter 3 · 2024 · The Hard Part

Everything we got wrong

Sheep that ate the ornamental plants. Soap that turned caustic. Carrots that came out like mandrakes. Year one was mostly a masterclass in humility — and we documented all of it.

That's the whole point of this site and the YouTube channel: the honest version. Not the pretty harvest photo, but the pest damage the week before.

Chapter 4 · 2026 · Today

Slowly figuring it out

Three years in, we grow most of our own food, make our own soap, keep sheep, ducks and chickens, and have built a small community of people doing similar things across Spain and Ireland.

We're still learning. We're still sharing every step.
